I was/am still too broke for surgery.
I didn't do any fad diets.
For the most part, I wasn't going to the gym.
When I started this journey, I didn't have enough money to go to the gym and I didn't really know a lot of home routines so I had to make sure I was eating healthy.
My meals comprised of mostly:
Oats
Sweet potato
Chicken breast
Beans
Unripe plantain
Weetabix
Skimmed milk
Fish
Eggs
Fruits
Vegetables
I also stopped taking sugary drinks and soda.
I was never really a fan of eba/swallow so whenever I have to eat soup I take it with boiled sweet potato.
I tried to be active with at least 30 mins workout twice a day.
I didn't know a lot about nutrition like I do now but my novice self still made it work somehow.
Most mornings, I take lemon juice with warm water first thing (30mins) before brushing my teeth.
Most fruits have high water content but be careful with you portion cuz most of them contain sugar.
It's actually one of the most effective ways to burn fat after HIIT (High Intensity Training) that is.
I train my lower body at least twice a week and spread the other muscles across the remaining days.
Especially meals high in protein like chicken, fish, eggs, greek yoghurt...
