We can’t count our chickens yet. This Republican Party is led by Trump and doesn’t care about rules or...women. But the organizing everyone has done for months prepared ua for this moment. And now very very brave women are standing up to speak truth to the most powerful men. 3/
If Kavanaugh is to withdraw, Republicans need to create a victim context for their base so they themselves don’t get blamed for a failed nomination - hence ‘con job,’ ‘character assassination,’ etc.. smearing the women is politics for them. 4/
They also see the big poll drops among GOP women. And they see the overwhelming energy and protest from women across the country who are making their outrage heard. 5/
So this moment is crucial for all of us. We cannot and must not give an inch. And the 6 Dem senators without a public position on Kavanaugh’s nom need to get off the sidelines. 6/
This is the biggest story out of the Senate I’ve seen in a decade. The country is watching. Keep calling. Every single Senator. Every one must hear clearly and loudly that this man must not sit on the Court. If you’re in DC, flood the Hill tomorrow. 7/
