@von18stone @guardian It isn't a statement, it's a question. In what sense is the 5SM «anti-establishment»? It was founded by two wealthy businessmen, it's part of a conservative government that repeatedly announced it will comply with all EU fiscal and budget rules and requirements.
@von18stone @guardian The 5SM is in government with a right-wing party that's probably the most staunchly pro-capitalist force in Italy, one of the first things Salvini did was criticizing the law against «caporalato», the illegal market of underpaid labour.
@von18stone @guardian The 5SM ministry of labour Di Maio and our 5SM-appointed premier frequently reassured Confindustria (the national organization of bosses) that this government will not touch their interests.
@von18stone @guardian The government, in its 5SM-inspired «Dignity Decree» on labour left the existing Jobs Act untouched, and yesterday the Constitutional Court sentenced that the Jobs Act is unconstitutional. The CC is much more «anti-establishment» than 5SM.
@von18stone @guardian Much of what this 5SM-Lega government has been doing since they're in office is inciting racist witch-hunts against immigrants, and the recent «Salvini decree» will generate more «clandestinity», which means more disenfranchised, blackmailable, exploitable workers.

@von18stone @guardian The fact that – before forming a coalition with a far-right party – the 5SM shouted from rooftops «We are against the establishment!» doesn't mean that they ever were. A political force must be judged by what they actually do, not by what they used to say about themselves.
