@amandawallwin @moorehn In the only methodologically rigorous US-based study of sexual assault reporting (the “Making a Difference Project”), a multi-site study of 8 U.S. communities, 7% of 2059 cases were coded as false reports. Thread #HimToo
@amandawallwin @moorehn Now, there were 205,680 rapes in 2016. About 22.9% were reported to the police. Given that about 7% of reports were coded “false”, that leaves 3300 reports coded as “false” in the US in 2016. Thread #HimToo
