With all of the Senate races in (still working up the House stuff as it's been a busy two weeks), a few observations about the 30 Day Before reports (07/01/18 - 09/27/18)

The top donor to TX Senate races (7/1/18-9/27/18):
1. Texans For Lawsuit Reform - $466,719
--Konni Burton (SD10) $332,900
--Joan Huffman (SD17) $103,250
--Don Huffines (SD16) $25k
--Pat Fallon (SD30) $5k
--Charles Schwertner (SD5) $319.92
--Kelly Hancock (SD9) $250

Texans For Lawsuit Reform gave a total of $466,719 to Senate races from 7/1/18-9/27/18. Konni Burton in SD10 got 71% of those dollars, $332,900. That is a very large play into one Senate race.

2. Texans For Fiscal Responsibility is the newest 3. Empower Texans PAC, showing up on the 30 Day Before report for the first time. TFFR and ET gave a total of $665,000 between 7/1/18-9/27/18 to TX Senate races. Konni Burton in SD10 got 75% of those dollars, $500k.

4. Dan Patrick gave a total of $211,562 to TX Senate races between 7/1/18-9/27/18. $171k went to Pete Flores in SD19, which held a special election in September to fill the seat. The only other race Patrick has given to is $40k to Konni Burton.

5. TREPAC (Realtors PAC) gave $165,239 to TX Senate races between 7/1/18-9/27/18 to 5 races. Dollars went out fairly evenly, but there is that same name at the top of the heap, Konni Burton with 24% of the total, $40k.

There is a HUGE drop off in donation amount from the top 5 to the remainder of the top 20 donors to the TX Senate from 7/1/18-9/27/18. There is a $106,406 difference between donor 5 and donor 6. That's a big gap.

When you pie chart the top 20 donors to TX Senate races between 7/1/18-9/27/18, you very quickly see that 5 donors gave 77%. And who those 5 donors were giving to didn't vary much. Konni Burton took in $912,900 from just 5 donors.

There is massive money going into TX Senate races. Empower Texans (and TFFR) spent $665k. Dan Patrick, who we know is very much ET related dropped $211k. Texans For Lawsuit Reform and the Realtors backed mostly ET candidates. Who's buying Texas? Who's stopping them?

Let's be clear. @KonniBurton (who has apparently blocked me because she doesn't like people speaking w/ real data) is running ads claiming that @beverlypowelltx is "owned by special interests". On the 30 Day Report, look at Konni's chart compared to Beverly's.

When you look at TOTAL $ contributed to TX Senate Races from 07/01/18 - 09/27/18, it totaled $4,981,717.75. @KonniBurton made up 21%, with $1,055,067. Remember that $912,900 (18% of EVERY DOLLAR given to a TX senate campaign) came to Konni from 5 special interests. #txlege #txed
