Frequent conversation with other formal officials - how badly the UK has treated EU Member States since 2016, after a period in which we had strong relations that delivered UK priorities. Our former allies are bemused and in no mood to resume friendships as yet
After 2019 the UK will once again be looking for the help of EU Member States. Hopefully the government of the time will recognise the damage that has been done and approach with a humility utterly lacking in the current administration

A win for the Conservative anti no-deal party. Now how do the Conservative no-deal party react knowing that in the event of rejecting the PM's deal the numbers may exist to withdraw Article 50?
The instant judgement that this defeat is bad for the PM is I think wrong.

Most or all of the rebels today will vote for her deal, she now has a clear threat to use against ERG rebels - this deal or no Brexit.
fwiw I would say the chances of no-deal Brexit have now crashed and the chances of the PM's deal or similar gone up to perhaps 50%. But the chances of no-Brexit are also strengthening, given the PM's ability to be her own worst enemy

Am bored of reading the conventional wisdom that the EU could not renegotiate Brexit, and to make this case will borrow the wisdom of one of our most experienced MEPs @RCorbettMEP - this is how it COULD happen (and why it probably won't)
There is no more important Brexit job for MPs in the coming two months than to build consensus - something those more astute than the PM realised some time ago. Future relationship talks with a split Parliament could not succeed.

The Government may have informally asked the EU about an Article 50 Extension - we presume not for any serious reason (no-deal prep, election, referendum) but in the vague hope this somehow helps the PM's deal pass Parliament
Under three months from leaving the EU by law and we have a Government without a plan.
It is not clear that the UK Government has learned anything about negotiating with the EU over the past two and a half years

So I was tagged into a couple of conversations yesterday on here.

One was about the pay to play model and the other was about implementing JdP/possession style in the US and coaches understanding of that style of play.

I think they are linked
Over the last couple of years, I have been a consultant to a few clubs in the US. Clubs of varying levels, from “grassroots” to professional; and they all seem to have similar issues
I have always been brought in to help implement a JdP/possession style on in doing that I would create the curriculum, exercises, coaching points and do coach education.

What I'm about to say is not an exaggeration, and I'm sorry if it upsets you, sets off mental health stuff for you, etc. But when the plane starts losing altitude, it's time to listen to the flight crew even if what they're saying freaks you out.
From everything I've read and absorbed over the last couple of years, it seems to me that the Republican party has given up whatever it once was & gone for broke as the party of white nationalism. THIS COULD VERY EASILY BE A SUCCESSFUL STRATEGY. I feel we need 3 things:
1) For those who have been voting R for any morally defensible reason, including "save the world from Democrats," to take as fast a 180 away from "team loyalty" and toward decency and critical thinking as you can. Right now. Drop your illusions about your team. LOOK AROUND.
