A little too gruesome, I agree. But that’s the reality of war.
I'll never sanitize history.

Never.

It is not pretending that it didn't happen that we will learn something from it.
And I just decided to colorize this picture because we can barely see their faces. If they could be easily identified, I would not do that. That's my limit.
I knew it would not be a popular decision, but like I said, I'm not colorizing photos (just) for fun. There is a much deeper meaning for me here, and I have a goal, which is to help educate people.
And to actually learn something, we need to assess (and see) history from different perspectives.

Some of them are not pretty.

And that's why I do what I do.
(and of course, I won't sell prints of this photo)
I know most of you understand this and support me.
