Lots of sniffing & low energy from Trump today suddenly touting bipartisanship w/ NANCY after Republicans lose House in #Midterms2018—which he calls “big incredible day…last night the Republican Party defied history.” Also compares to Obama midterms—which he called “midtown”😂 
Incredible. Asked whether he’ll fight if Democrats subpoena his tax returns, Trump says they’re too complex. “People don’t understand taxes.”
Trump went off on Jim @Acosta, calling him “rude” and “enemy of the people.” Jim was asking about Russia probe & before that about the ad demonizing migrants (which Trump said “didn’t use actors”). Now he’s telling reporters “sit down, sit down” like they’re bad kindergarteners.
Trump just said “President Obama’s regime” let Putin annex Crimea from Ukraine. Reporter corrected him, saying “It was Putin who annexed Crimea.” Trump replied, “No, Obama let it happen. Had nothing to do with me.”
I can’t get over how wildly abnormal Trump and his White House are. A staffer actually accosted CNN reporter Jim @Acosta and tried to take his mic away to stop him from asking a question. It almost looked like she was pushing him at one point to sit down. And HE called Jim ”rude”
OMG Asked by PBS reporter @Yamiche about language emboldening white nationalists, Trump says “That’s a racist question.” Earlier he told April Ryan to sit down. This treatment of journos, women & African Americans esp is so repugnant. “I never used a racist remark” he adds.
The transcript from this press conference is going to be something. He’s shoots out so many lies, it’s like a blitzkrieg of bullsh*t. I mean on everything from claiming victory in midterms to Obamacare to Obama to domestic terrorism program funding. It’s comical but Orwellian!
After saying how unfathomable it was for Trump to call @Yamiche question “racist,” @jaketapper slams “gangsteresque” POTUS: “The President did a dance on the graves of Republicans who didn’t show him enough fealty…who moved away from him b/c he was toxic. He was glad they lost!”
