training a neural network is just finding attractors of a high dimensional dynamical system
this statement is in the category of "true but not useful information" because we have no idea how to find stable attractors of most classes of high dimensional dynamical systems
(with the possible exception of those who have the stable points appear to them from thin air, dreams)
