I had never heard of a fire tornado until today and I really kind of hope I never see a firenado again in my life. This legitimately feels like biblical levels of destruction. #CaliforniaFires
My family is safe and hopeful this morning. We’re waiting to see what the condition of our house in Calabasas is but we have everything we need with our kids healthy and safe. This is going to be challenging for our community but we will all work through it together. #WoolseyFire
Just got word that as of now our house in Calabasas IS STANDING!!! It hasn’t had any fire damage as of now. We have to stay away for a few days because there’s still a real dangerous threat but for now it feels like a huge relief. #WoolseyFire
Update: Finally moved to a hotel for the next few days. Our dogs are so tired from everything. Poor Marma is 100% blind so the trip away from her regular routine is hard on her, she’s super nervous about everything but comfortable now. Just gotta coax her to eat now. #WoolseyFire
Fire retardant drops are saving my community. Watching these huge 747 size planes drop in to save our homes is indescribably amazing. I can’t thank firefighters enough. @LAFD are heroic. Every time I check they’ve done something new & amazing. #WoolseyFire
Update: @imatriarch got us some stuff from @target since we’re missing things we left in the evacuation. We took the kids to play. Finally got Marma our blind Great Dane to eat. She’s still very stressed. Lots of @redbull giving me wings. Waiting on our house update. #WoolseyFire
Another Firenado sparked up during the #WoolseyFire. These are absolutely insane. Keep praying for the Firefighters @LAFD.
A good friend of ours went home today to Agoura off of Kanan Rd. She was only home for a little while when she found out a new fire sparked up not far away. She’s evacuating again with her 3 kids. Keep praying for California and our firefighters. #WoolseyFire #CaliforniaFires
Update: We returned home last night to Calabasas. Nothing feels better than coming home after worrying it may not be there when you get back. Little reminders are everywhere of the heroic work firefighters did to save our homes like the speckled fire retardant on 1 of our cars.
Mental Health Support is often an afterthought with everything else going on during a natural disaster but you deserve help if you’re struggling. You can call the Disaster Distress Hotline At 1-800-985-5990 or text 66746 if you need help. #WoolseyFire #CampFire #CaliforniaFires
