I just watched a video from a self-described "Red-Pilled Asian who's done with the left" criticizing Asian parenting. The funny thing is that his critique - mindless overemphasis on academics and coercive bullying creating generations of shy, dull opinion-less robots - is spot on
The thing is that all his examples of these practices are attributed to unnamed people he knew growing up -- when it's very clearly his own experience. Why else would he now be what he claims to be
Believe me, I know the circular rabbit hole of the Asian-American alt rightist. The foundation is an abstracted appreciation for the austerity and resilience a traditional upbringing provides and a simultaneous screaming hatred of how said upbringing screwed them over socially
