A few remarks on the interview given by the Dassault aviation CEO Eric Trappier to the Indian news agency @ANI
"We started negotiating with Reliance group in 2011, Hollande was not the French president, Modi was not the PM" said Eric Trappier. Dassault was negotiating with the Reliance group of Mukesh Ambani, not the Reliance group of Anil Ambani. So it was a different company.
"My company is clean" said Eric Trappier. It has not been always the case. The former director of Dassault aviation received in 1998 an18 month probationary sentence for bribery. He had bribed numerous Belgium politicians in 1988 in order to secure a contract.
Eric Trappier explains he chose Reliance Defence of Anil Ambani, that has no experience in aeronautics, no experience in the defence sector, because its better "to start from scratch"

Clarification : Serge Dassault was convicted in 1998 for corruption involving his company "Electronique Serge Dassault" (contract for military electronics upgrades of Belgian F-16 combat aircraft). Dassault aviation, also run by him at that time, was not involved.
