Lately, I've been asking people why they dislike Pelosi. Turns out, most people don't know WHY they hate her, they just do. It seems lost on them that the reason they hate her is a decade of negative attacks by the GOP. It's very similar to HRC.
When pressed most people will resort to 1 of 2 talking points. 1. she's too liberal 2. she's too divisive. This is Pelosi's ideological placement relative to everyone else. She is squarely liberal, but not radical. In terms of divisiveness, NP is exceedingly civil, like Obama. 
I get why some Ds want to start fresh, and as a strategist, I actually think the Ds would be better off w all new leadership in both chambers in terms of the public relations end of leadership. However, should it not be NP who is Speaker whoever it is will quickly be targeted
it won't be long before their own popularity wanes considerably. ESP bc the GOP, is really, really, good at this.
