In 1965, the CEO-to-worker compensation ratio was 20-to-1. In 1989, the CEO-to-worker compensation ratio was 58-to-1. Last year, the CEO-to-worker compensation ratio was 312-to-1.
Today, the wealthiest 400 individuals in this country own more wealth than the bottom half of America — 150 million Americans.
There is an important truth that we must not forget: If millions of us stand together, educate and organize, there is nothing we cannot accomplish. Together, we can finally create an America that works for all of us, not just the few.
