A behavior seen from time to time on Twitter: users tagging federal law enforcement agencies such as @FBIWFO in tweets/conversations that do not involve the agency in question. Let's take a look.

We downloaded tweets tagging @FBIWFO since 1/1/2017, and excluded those that were in the reply sections of @FBIWFO's own tweets, yielding 122246 tweets from 25893 accounts.
This table shows the 20 most prolific taggers of @FBIWFO. We categorized based on apparent intent; the users shown in pink appear to be attempting to tip the FBI off to potential crimes via Twitter.
What does the content of the 20 accounts that most frequently tag @FBIWFO look like? These figures show the most frequently used hashtags and most frequently linked news sources, respectively.
Is the FBI paying attention? There's no way to be certain, but sometime between 10/2017 and 8/2018, a note not to submit tips to the @FBIWFO twitter account was added, so it's possible FBI resources were being wasted by these tips (whether intended or not by the tipsters).

Time for some fun with political vocabulary. We downloaded English-language tweets containing "neocon", "neoconservative", "neolib", or "neoliberal", resulting in 40747 tweets from 24603 accounts in the last 10 days.

How are these labels used? Based on the fact that only 15 of the 40747 tweets contain one of the phrases below, people aren't self-identifying as neocon/neolib. Anecdotally, the majority of uses are pejorative, typically directed at folks deemed insufficiently ideologically pure.
Combined retweet network for neocon(servative)/neolib(eral). The accounts using only neocon(servative) are largely right-wing, while those using neo(liberal) or both are generally left-wing.

There's been a bit of tempest in a teapot lately re the #IntegrityInitiative, following the release of leaked documents. We downloaded tweets containing "Integrity Initiative"/#IntegrityInitiative, yielding 27213 tweets from 9054 accounts in the last 10 days.

Retweet network for "Integrity Initiative"/#IntegrityInitiative. Several of the prominent accounts (@georgegalloway, @Ian56789, @ShoebridgeC) have a history of pushing #FalseFlag theories about the #Skripal poisoning. Sputnik reporter @KitKlarenberg also puts in an appearance.
Speaking of Sputnik, here are the media sources most frequently linked from tweets containing "Integrity Initiative"/#IntegrityInitiative. Sputnik and RT comprise 45% of the volume, with the majority of the rest being comprised of Western conspiracy-oriented sites.

Meet @ASGFiltration. At first glance this appears to be a promotional Twitter account for a business, but some of the content is. . . odd. The account has replied 722 times with the tweet pictured, and many of the replies seem out of context.

The tweet referencing Trump is not the only tweet @ASGFiltration has repeated. It is the most frequently repeated and the only one that is overtly political.
Repetition of tweets suggests a bot. @ASGFiltration doesn't tweet 24/7 and posts all tweets via the Twitter website making automation hard to prove, but manually posting the same tweet 722 times sounds more than a bit drudgerous.

ALBUQUERQUE – Brian Tony, 47, of Gallup, N.M., was sentenced to life imprisonment today in federal court in Santa Fe, N.M., following his previous conviction at trial for first-degree murder and witness tampering, announced U.S. Attorney John C. Anderson,
Special Agent in Charge James C. Langenberg of the FBI’s Albuquerque Division, and Director Jesse Delmar of the Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety (NNDPS).

A jury found Tony, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, guilty of these offenses on September 30, 2017.

Thread: Why Do They Do It, and What Needs to be Done

1. Many people wonder why those working in federal agencies are involved in the crimes that we’ve only begun to see exposed in the DoJ, FBI, IRS, State Department, etc.
2. After all, giving one’s life towards “service to the country” is supposed to be a noble endeavor – or at least that’s what the political elite, legacy media megaphones, and others have been telling us for decades, isn’t it?
3. Except that, in the Age of Trump, we’re finding out that many of these people – especially those in the upper echelons of federal law enforcement agencies – aren’t as altruistic as we have been led to believe. In fact, many of them are down-right crooks!
