/ I was going to write a whole post on my Top 10 Travel Productivity Tips, but reviewing my notes I realized there was one that stood so far above the rest, plus they have a Black Friday sale: Priority Pass @prioritypasscom Affiliate code: prioritypass.com/en/campaigns/l…
/ My partner and I have spent a lot of time in airports over the past 2 months, and it's been a game-changer. Priority Pass provides access to over 1,200 lounges and credits for restaurants in over 500 cities. Show your card and you get access to premium lounges
/ It came as a benefit with the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card, which I highly recommend especially for those who travel a lot. @thepointsguy recommends this card very highly for 3X points on travel and dining worldwide: thepointsguy.com/guide/chase-sa…
/ Here's the full list of card benefits. Buried in that list is "complementary airport lounge access" which sounds exactly like the kind of non-benefit used to pad a list. I assumed it probably had severe restrictions or requirements like most such "benefits"
/ But then I read @tynan's book Forever Nomad where he extols PP virtues and started trying it out. In Miami got $35 to spend at a decent grill-style restaurant. At LAX got $30 each for Lauren and I to eat. In CDMX got access to a nice lounge with good free food & drinks
/ But the best so far has been Rio de Janeiro, where we got access to the Plaza Premium lounge. Here's some pictures.
/ Here's the food. It was good, high-quality food, better than what you'd find in typical airport restaurants. Also, free wine, other drinks, and coffee
/ So why is priority pass a productivity tip? Because in these lounges you get better wifi than the standard airport network, free food and drinks, a safer and more comfortable working environment, for both you and a traveling companion
/ It's turned my airport time into truly productive time. If you get the Chase Sapphire Reserve card it's a steal: I've already gotten $180 in benefits from Priority Pass at 4 airports in my first few months, vs. $150 annual cost for the card as a whole
/ But I think it's worth it on its own if you travel a lot. Beyond direct benefits it's also made every airport visit into a little adventure, as we discover which lounge we get access to. I imagine with kids it'd be even better, since they also get access
/ Here's the 25% off Black Friday sale. Valid until midnight on 11/25. I'd recommend Standard Plus if you travel at least 10 times/year, & Prestige if more than that. And of course the Chase card is the best deal w/ unlimited free access. Affiliate link: prioritypass.com/en/campaigns/l…
/ Here's the full details on the Chase card: creditcards.chase.com/rewards-credit…. And the list of benefits: chase.com/card-benefits/…
