2. First Malvaney wasn't just a member of the KKK, he was an organizer. He recruited for a Klavern while aboard a U.S. Navy ship. and organize a Klan rally in Virginia. Eventually, that got him kicked out. (Somehow, he received an "honorable discharge.") goo.gl/ULccVt
3. After the Navy, Malvaney participated in a white supremacist plot to overthrow the Caribbean island of Dominica. He was arrested w/8 automatic rifles, 10 shotguns, five rifles, 10 handguns, 10 lbs of dynamite, 5,246 rounds of ammunition, and a Nazi flag goo.gl/ULccVt
4. He pleaded guilty & was sentenced to three years in federal prison. After getting out, he kept his past secret. (He was able to expunge his record as part of the plea deal.) He only acknowledged it when confronted by a reporter in 2010. goo.gl/ULccVt
