Zionism as a racist ideology, and Israel as its brutal and genocidal implementation, cannot be defended on humanist grounds, so only defensive strategy is to ever more aggressively recast the perpetrators as victims of anti-Semitic bias and the victims as deserving to suffer.
Zionism, like all settler-colonial ideologies, recasts the settler-invaders as victims of persecution for whom conquering and subjugating others is divine redemption. It's very similar to Afrikanerdom in South Africa and Unionism in Northern Ireland.
US/EU elites have fully adopted Zionism's anti-Semitic assertion that the interests of Israel are indistinguishable from those of Jews. It's our duty to always emphasize: Israel's crimes are not perpetrated by or in the name of all Jews. Zionism is not Judaism.
Even in these darkest days and times, we must look forward to a day when everyone in historic Palestine, Palestinian, Jewish, Muslim, Christian or anything else, will be liberated from Zionist apartheid and can live in freedom, equality and justice.
