Cranky & starving waiting for delayed train in Philly trying to get home. No food available at 30th Street station at this hour. But Bridgewater’s pub is open. Does that mean the glass is half full or...full?
I even have my government-issued ID, yet there is neither cereal nor pizza for purchase
Thanks for all the food suggestions but I intend to dine on the Amtrak tasting menu shortly

Serious question - what law prevents abuse of this new Presidential Alert? What law prevents POTUS from using it to attack a rival or promote himself?
Yes I understand there are “protocols.” Anyone who thinks this POTUS abides by “protocols” is a fool.
There are protocols and rules on a Government official’s use of Twitter also. I used to be subject to them. They’re violated repeatedly by this White House. Am I right @waltshaub?

There’s a reason why everyone in Trump’s orbit has taped, or considered taping, him - including confidantes, lawyers, employees, appointees. It’s because they know he lies like he breathes.
I dunno if Rosenstein seriously considered taping POTUS or was being saracastic, as many outlets report. I know Rod a long time, he’s a sarcastic guy & jokes about wiring people up are as common with prosecutors as knock-knock jokes in grade school.
But it remains true that Trump lies as he breathes and the people closest to him don’t trust him, e.g., personal lawyer Michael Cohen & Omarosa.

So at least two Proud Boys made their way into the crowd of counterprotesters in #Philly to try to incite violence.

Their names are Simon Greenwood & David Kuriakose. Both were involved in the mob attack in NYC last month; Kuriakose was arrested and charged with riot & assault.

Almost like they're just ... violent people.

Food hubs. Where to start.

The whole point of local food is supposed to be "shorten the supply chain." Food hubs are supposed to facilitate that.

What they *actually* do is just add another layer of middleman.
There's an inevitable cycle with food hubs (touched on in passing in the article but never really examined).

1. Sell food to niche bougie outlets

2. Saturate those niche outlets, bc they're niche
3. Realize that if you want to live & participate in the world of modern food, you gotta pull on the big kid pants & sell to big distributors like Sysco & Aramark

4. Congrats now you're just another layer of middleman, & kind of an unnecessary one at that

Violently arresting the spokesperson for the peaceful protest that spurred your recent proclamation on Philly's collaboration with ICE is a bad look.

We see you. We vote.
You had your negotiations. You held your press conference. You stood in front of #Philly and talked about your good conscience.

And when the dust settled and the cameras cleared, you went after them. Vindictively.
You figured you could appease the liberal base and seen on the side of tolerance and reform.
