I just wrapped an interview over the latest Star Citizen funding fiasco which broke just before Christmas.

HIlariously, instead of, you know, profiting on 1/5th of the sales, financials now show that he was burning through more money than he was making, essentially bankrupting the project. Hence a $46M investor bailout.

It was already a foregone conclusion (I totally called it back in 2015) that the funding chart was bs.

In fact, as I wrote in my latest blog, they burned through $32M MORE than the chart showed.

@draginol P&F, in what I can only attribute to a serious lapse in judgment, wrote a blog (some of it is a rather dubious take on what constitutes copyright infringement) explaining their view of what is going on. It's quite the read.

The OCR discusses limitations on sharing protected health information (PHI) between providers. Issues include:
- Sharing taking too much time
- Providers refusing to share
- Care coordination with folks like case mgrs
- Sharing the minimum necessary
- HIPAA awareness 2/
The first question asks about timeliness of sharing. To get records to patients, providers have 30 days (in some states it's 15). But there's no such time limit. Still, I've found that records get to providers much quicker than they ever do to patients. 3/

1-My Thread for the day:
Canadian Media Convergence and the dangers to democracy.
2- In the early 2000’s, some might remember, Canadian media landscape was a lot different. You could open a newspaper and get opinions from the left and the right. Same goes for TV news outlets. In 2018, the picture is a lot different and it’s bad for democracy.
3- One of the fallouts was to push the election of a leader that wasn’t based on competence, but rather because of his image. Leaders of most political parties are now following along the same line.
