NEW from me: "The GOP Is Scared of Democracy. Just Look at Wisconsin." Just posted to @truthout truthout.org/articles/the-g…
- WI Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald won 49,051 votes on Nov 6
- WI State Assembly Speaker Robin Vos won 16,775 votes
- Governor-elect Tony Evers won 1.33 million votes
So, who's most representative of the state of Wisconsin?
From my new piece posted on @truthout:

Hope:
- the WI power grab will be challenged in court
- after 2020 census, new district lines will be drawn—and because Evers is governor, they won't be gerrymandered
- at some point, likely 2022 or later, Ds will regain majorities & repeal these bills

Seeing this offensively disingenuous justification for the Wisconsin power grab in print in a national newspaper has me seeing red all over again. Doubly so bc the GOP got fewer Assembly votes, 46-54, but gerrymandered its way to holding 64% of the seats. “Most representative”?!
