As we get ever closer to Brexit Day, it feels more and more outrageous that we’re about to damage the life chances of 65 million people in the UK, and millions in the EU, based largely on the sustained, unending avalanche of lies coming from less than 100 prominent Brexiteers.

Nearly a million people hurt per lying scoundrel politician feathering their nest and bolstering their own narrow-minded interests...

That’s a mind-blowing ratio. How did it come to this? How did we become so timid, so broken, as to allow ourselves to be misled in this way?

So every time Boris Johnson blows on about building bridges, or Michael Gove's eyes light up at the though of genetically engineering our food supply, or Jacob Rees-Mogg squeals with delight about WTO, or Dominic Raab says we'll be ok despite the proximity of Dover to Calais, or

Nigel Farage is his most rabidly foam-flecked, or any of their ilk mouth empty, baseless platitudes about how Brexit will make us all rich, strong and beautiful, think about your friends, family, colleagues, neighbours. And their friends, families, etc. And theirs, and theirs...

Because the lying scoundrels are hurting folk out to six degrees of separation, and beyond, We will all feel Brexit bite, to our bones. In our lifetimes, our green and pleasant land will never be the same again.

And yet still they preen, and prace, and bloviate, and bray, safe

in the knowledge that their power, wealth and privilege create a shield that no Brexit can pierce. No MP's family will go without medicine, or food.

The few will always be fine. The many can go hang.

Or we can wake up, shake the scales from our eyes, and realise the truth.
