So, I went to a spiritual channeling thingy cause I had to.

The format was basically, random person asks question, the "spirit" responds.

I keep going to these religious/spiritual events and theres this itch of a theme at all of them. Adults are lost kids.
The evangelical preacher always gives these answers that could solve your problem, it gets to the emotions of it, if they just went a bit further a process of learning could being.

With the channeling, the answer is always there, it's so close but the answer always ends the
same. God/the universe will handle it

Now you may be thinking that this is the child part. It's not. A lot of this stuff that's said always comes back to this need for power. The power of wealth, health, and direction.

But the way one acquires that power becomes the issue.
And the common theme I keep seeing in the people listening and asking these things is that people care but have no way to deal with it.

They're like kids who want to help out their parents, or do something for a other person, but the world ignore them, it gets aynnoed with them
because the world is fine with putting them off to the side to do whatever they want. And society has made things like video games, TV, etc to "help" direct the child away from said world.

The child could do all the things the world does, because they're an element in that world
They do have control, the power of change starts with a person not because 1 person is magical but because actions have consequences. Acknowledging a person exists is a small thing but it IS a thing. One person may not care but the next person may change their life because of it.
But society doesnt build people up to do that. People assume that others should be a certain way, that things will just happen. God/spirits/laws are the things that guide people what to do, and with things that ultimately have no meaning, cause people to be lose.
The topics do revolve around things like "you gotta believe in getting that money " but if you start to ask people why they want money, they just want to help out their kids, try to make others feel better, to help create something new

I think a lot of the problem for people
being better to others and making the world a nicer place is not the lack of caring but the lack of a persons own direction. So much so that even the most powerful beings and entities that control our lives dont fix things, things will just happen and you look out for them
There's not much direction beyond that, you fill out the form and the government will just do a thing, you vote and a person will just be elected, just pray and god will choose the outcome

I think we need to help people get the tools to even being to know how one directs action
before giving someone a book about ideas that show the possibility of something to come.

Watching the faccists argue, they always give an answer. Thinking two seconds on the answer shows it's dumb but it sounds like an answer. It's some action you can take right now.
The aesthetic of something being committed to goes beyond the actual logic of it.

The lost kid will see this and will figure out that this is a way to help people, the "right people"

I think furries do a much better job of this than the fascist do but the ends don't make huge
world changes that we think of. When you go to different pockets of a furries a common trait is openness(sometimes to a fault) but that openness is more than saying some really personal things while first meeting, it's an acknowledgement of others. And that acknowledgement is
sometimes a self reflection that some of the stuff we do is cringey or bad or weird, but it's also an acceptance of that, so it's also an acceptance of another person.

And that acknowledgement and acceptance steers people in a direction that can be really healthy and wonderful.
People are given the tools and rules on how to create, explore, and learn.

I've said that before but it just really always becomes apparent to me that furries do really well at that. The culture makes and creates people who do the same, and show that to others. It's not forced,
it just is. For example the fursona is a personal creation and one creates it. The idea is that you create something and you see how others create and use their sonas. What it represents, etc. And that seems to make people less lost.

I think that same sort of energy could be put
into making the world better rather than just making furries better if it's applied correctly.

It definitely can be used for ill. Just like how religions can make a crap ton of money of their followers, or how the iguana funnels people into groups that create an illusion of a
problem that becomes real, and with the tools given to them they can make that problem worse.

But religions still get new memebers by they show of creation, of knowledge, of a direction (to paying money and comfort rather than action but still)

If more people dide what sonic
fox did without "tearing down" others (aka pointing out a real problem that is going on and needs addressed, but is told without giving the tools to correct it) I think furries could actually save the world, or atleast the culture and aesthetics of it.

Maybe instead of adults
being lost children in a world that doesn't care about them, adults could be normal kids instead with a society that cares about them. Curious, helpful, annoying, loud, caring, useful, well meaning kids that still have no idea what their doing, but there's many others to help out
so "needing" to be a certain way because things will just be the way they are becomes less of an issue. Being you and trying to be for better for others and yourself is what I think will ultimately be better and more helpful
And just like the religious people need to stop having the final answer be "god", i think out final answers should be methods to go forward rather than just answer. But still show what those methods do and why to do them. Do assume someone SHOULD know something already,
take the 2 seconds to acknowledge others and help them. Even if it's a small acknowledgement of a hello.

Those small things really do add up
