The judge just ruled the individual mandate unconstitutional and decided that it’s inseverable from the rest of the law, so he struck down ALL of Obamacare. 
What’s wild about this is Trump traveled with Republicans all over the country in the 2018 election vowing to protect preexisting conditions while his administration — and several of those candidates — were supporting this lawsuit in court.

NEXT STEPS: The Texas judge’s ruling to kill the ACA will be appealed at the 5th Circuit. If it’s upheld there, it’s headed to the Supreme Court. If it’s reversed, the supremes can take it or leave it (leaving it in that case would mean the law stands).
Senator-elect Josh Hawley, currently Missouri's AG, is a signatory to the lawsuit that just won a victory in district court. He still campaigned on a promise to protect pre-existing conditions with this emotional ad.
