Visiting NV/AZ, I was struck by the divergent Dem campaigns.

Rosen ran as an unabashed liberal, trashing Trump, rallying w/Bernie Sanders.

Sinema ran like a centrist, seldom mentioning Trump, downplaying cultural issues like immigration/guns.

Both won.

• MISSOURI: GOP gain
• NORTH DAKOTA: GOP gain

• NEVADA: DEM gain
• ARIZONA: DEM gain

And then there was Florida.

Will be interesting to see if Senator Sinema votes more like Joe Manchin or Jon Tester.

She said she’d have opposed Brett Kavanaugh, so there’s one hint.

A bit of history made in Arizona: Kyrsten Sinema will be the first openly bisexual U.S. senator.

• Sinema won 12% of Republicans and 11% of Trump 2016 voters

• McSally won 3% of Democrats and just 2% of Clinton voters

• Independents split 49-49%

• Moderates backed Sinema 63-36%

• Sinema lost white voters by 11, won Latinos by 38

Voters with a favorable view of @JeffFlake backed Sinema 67-32%.

Voters with an unfavorable view of @JeffFlake backed McSally 57-42%.

The McCain seat, currently held by appointee Jon Kyl, is up for grabs in 2020.

Sinema’s victory has got to make that look enticing for Democrats who might ordinarily have passed...

...and maybe also @RepMcSally, who quits her House seat early January.
