There is a lot in this indictment: Rafiekian & Alptekin involving Flynn.

No time for thread but it looks like they were hiding source of cash - Turkey - from Flynn.
I had heard rumors that Flynn didn't actually author this op-ed - that it had been published under his name.

Op-ed triggered FARA investigation.
Rafiekian & Alptekin didn't just lie to Flynn, they lied to his company lawyers.
There's a lot more going on than that initial DOJ release indicated.

No wonder Flynn not named. Anybody seen VW lately...

2) On Dec. 10, 2015, General Michael Flynn attended a dinner in Moscow honoring the 10th anniversary of Russian television network RT.

Flynn, who was seated next to Putin for the culminating dinner, was also interviewed on national security matters by a RT correspondent.
3) Flynn’s speaker bureau, Leading Authorities, was paid $45,000 for the event. Flynn received $33,000 of the total.

Flynn reportedly joined the Trump campaign in late Feb 2016 as an informal advisor on foreign policy matters—although his actual start date is not entirely clear.

1/ The Washington Post somewhat misleading says in its article on the charges that they're "not part of the special counsel investigation into Russian interference." Note that in the sense any of us would ever care about that sentence—the practical sense—that statement is untrue.
2/ Whether or not Mueller is the prosecuting authority in the charges against Butina means absolutely nothing for whether he was and is being kept apprised of the work being done to prosecute her *and* any information that may result from that prosecution. The second part is key.

2/ In that same story, Wood revealed the *quality* of his sourcing, noting at least one source was in contact with—and receiving information from—a member of Mueller's team. That source gave Wood a key piece of corroborating information on the claim Sater is now a CI for Mueller.
