I just woke up from a dream that some reporter wrote a story criticizing my opinion that the blazers should never trade CJ McCollum and then said I don’t contribute anything to society but bad takes so I pulled up on him and we recorded a podcast arguing about both.
I woke up feeling bad because I like sports writing lol.
In the dream the persons name was Shane Smith but I’m almost positive it was @corbinasmith

A Portland landlord called the cops on a homeless man outside of one of her properties and the police showed up and killed him. Once again we see the harmful intersection of the cities failures on policing and homelessness. This is flat out wrong. oregonlive.com/news/2019/01/o…
For the millionth time: stop calling the police! They might make you feel safe but for all marginalized groups they serve as oppressors and murderers. Just stop.
But this isn’t just about calling the cops. This is about the damage that landlords, police, and millionaires are having on Portland all wrapped into one incident. We have to do better.

I spent Christmas Eve morning volunteering at the homeless youth center. Will be back tomorrow and there cooking breakfast every morning throughout my time back in Portland. Wednesday it’s back volunteering with the refugee kids.
This stuff doesn’t make the news but it’s what makes me the most happy. Glad to be back home and working for this city I love so much.
Too many people out here “building solidarity” by hating all the right people. If you’re progressive credentials is that you talk the most shit about leftists then I don’t want to hear from you in 2019. Go do something for the community or have a sit.

So you know how the NAACP was asking everyone to log off Facebook because FB has been giving away our information? Well ironically today the NAACP here just gave out their mailing list information and now I am exposed to hundreds of emails many of which are very racist.
This probably says more about volunteer organizations needed more money for tech staff and other staff than anything but I couldn’t keep the irony to myself.
So now I have an email to both my work and personal emails coming every few seconds for the past two hours. For what it’s worth, logging off FB wasn’t even a good idea so there’s that.

Ok ok i tell lah since some friends wanna know hahaha. This happened in 2014, I was a student in Uitm Samarahan 1, yes, the classic campus. For that semester, I got a room in hostel Seri Gading 3, top floor. Level 5 je pun tapi takda lift! K takda kaitan, so lets go!
Y'all should know that the girls' hostel is keras as fuq. On the door frames, you can see there's a ✔️ or an X where ✔️ means the room is clear from 👹 whereas the X means the room had some histories with 👹. I'm not sure if thats legit or not but..

1/thread: Had a brain-shattering convo with a teen about #pronouns. I think many adults poo-poo 💩 the topic, but I [an adult by any measure] have some alternative thoughts🙋.
2/thread: Alot of what the teen said was hard for me to understand. Ie, sometimes the teen prefers she/her; other times they/them. I was like, "How do we know which? How do YOU know which?" 🤔I could understand why older, set-in-their-ways folks wouldn't at ALL get it👀.
3/thread: But THAT thought--how older generations were raised with pretty linear🙈, narrow🙉, "accepted roles" 🙊(for men & women; for Americans & "foreigners," etc) made a💡turn on for me.
