The majority of generic prescription drugs are manufactured by just 2 companies. The lack of competition has twisted the market & driven up prices. I’m introducing the Affordable Drug Manufacturing Act with @janschakowsky to fix this broken market & bring down costs for families.
The federal government already contracts to produce vaccines and drugs for national emergencies. By publicly manufacturing generic drugs, my plan would:
💊Lower skyrocketing drug prices.
💊Increase competition in the generic drug market.
💊Help address urgent medicine shortages.
The generic drug market is clearly broken, and it's time to fix it. Giant companies will hate my Affordable Drug Manufacturing plan. But I don’t work for them. The American people deserve competitive markets and fair prices. theintercept.com/2018/12/18/eli…

A budget is about more than numbers – a budget is about values. And the budget @realDonaldTrump released today is another big wet kiss to the super-rich & giant corporations, and it guts programs for everyone else.
See this? This is where @realDonaldTrump’s budget would eliminate the Public Student Loan Forgiveness program – the program that helps America’s public school teachers, nurses, police officers, & other public servants with their student loan debt. Poof, gone.
And see this? This is where @realDonaldTrump’s budget would completely wipe out community block grants – money that cities & towns in MA & across the country use for afterschool programs, public safety, legal aid, affordable housing, & other essential services. They’re gone.

When my kids were little, I struggled to find good, reliable, and affordable child care. It felt like an impossible task then – and it still is for many families. That’s why I’m proposing a new plan for #UniversalChildCare.
My plan for #UniversalChildCare would build off the success of Head Start to create a network of high-quality child care options. Federal funding would guarantee every family has access to high-quality, affordable care for kids from birth to kindergarten.
In many states, child care is more expensive than in-state college tuition. Under my plan for #UniversalChildCare, child care would be free for nearly 9 million kids. And no family would pay more than 7% of their income for child care.

2 Further evidence against Dickson's claim of a "clear link" is the fact that opioid scripts are at an 18 year low & have dropped every year since 2011. But during that same time, ODs have skyrocketed. That's because addiction/ODs are driven by ILLICIT, not prescription drugs.
3 Getting this wrong has dire consequences. I'm the director of headsUPmigraine & learned yesterday of yet another young woman who's DEAD because she was forced off safe, effective medication, despite being 1 of the 96.96% who relied on opioids without addiction.

2/ They are trapped in an immaturity that cannot be cured.
Something happened to them in their youth - arresting them. Or, perhaps, they have an undiagnosed reason 4 lack in social skills: ability to connect & pick up cues.
Trolling the "normies" is very addictive for them...
3/ They'll never stop this behavior. It comes with a serious deprivation in intimacy with another person - or confusion over such. Much of the misogyny appears to be rooted in this.
The only hope for some of them is to be arrested &/or lose any wealth they've earned doing this.

Full disclosure. I smoked Cannabis nearly daily for around ten years. I like it. However, I quit it because it was badly aggravating my poor mental health, causing mood swings & exarcabated my natural laziness & demotivated me. I do not take this subject lightly, nor should you.
After quitting (which was very hard as i'd developed an emotional dependence & it was part of my routine) I felt healthier, happier & my moods became far more balanced. I'm qualifying my thread with this because, again, it's important to note I am very aware of the downsides.

2/20 The Supreme Court in Citizens United v FEC invalidated FECA, 2 USC §441b: cap on political contributions by corp's, assoc's; nonprofit donor disclosures.

But Court didn't consider §441e: ban on political spending by foreign people & entities.

Mismatched ruling➡️Loophole.
3/20 The Supreme Court was fully aware hearing case on §441b impacted ban on foreign influence in FECA sister section (§441e).

Justices addressed it in oral arguments. Even lawyer for Citizens United agreed on a distinction btwn corps & people to address such matters.

The irony of American mass shootings is the mostly White males who commit them target White peers who are most likely to oppose gun control.
In other words, American mass shootings are predominantly White on White crime, at both the societal and legislative levels.
Again, take note that the folk who are most likely to be victimized by White male extremists are the least likely to hold them accountable.
