It's remarkable to me that people can actually say this—that regardless of a candidate's actual proposals and ideas, they'd simply be out of the running because they're white. Honestly, it's also offensive to a growing number of PoCs to be instrumentalized like this 👇🏽
Isn't it ironic that it's often white people who set the standards of ultimate wokeness that people of color are then expected to follow and go along with? If that isn't, well, "white privilege," I'm not sure what is. I mean, seriously, have some self-awareness
I'm not going to vote for someone just because they're brown, Muslim, whatever. I'm going to vote for them because they have ideas & beliefs that resonate with me. And to presume that people of color automatically just want to vote for other people of color is absurdly offensive
