Qatar has only 313,000 citizens, and 2.3 million foreigners many of them laborers serving the country’s elite. “The tragedy of 1.7 million migrant workers trapped in Qatar defines modern day slavery.”

Why is this slavery not compassion?

dailycaller.com/2018/12/16/qat…
Progressive ideology requires contradictory thinking. Some kinds of appropriation are good. Certain migrants are OK, others not. To know what is right on a given day you have to consult the Narrative to find today's political line.
Filipinos are often treated like dirt in their overseas worker jobs but it's the poor man's dream in many Filipino households. There's a caste system. The low jobs are for 3rd world worker but the upper management expat jobs are reserved for European and US citizens.
It's really an indictment when you realize people prefer to be treated like slaves in Qatar over living in their home country. Migration will never solve anything basic. The answer isn't getting Qatar to treat migrants better, it's changing the home countries.
