Nobody gets angrier about other people failing to use their specific cultural language, and nobody insists more violently that specific political language must be used, than so-called “anti-PC” people.
Anti-PC people believe even the slightest cultural pressure to use speech designed to include other people is oppressive censorship.

Yet somehow angrily insisting that other people use their own preferred words is freedom.
Declaring pronouns is cultural tyranny...

Female ghostbuster ruins my childhood...

Black spider man destroys the character...

“Happy holidays” is an aggressive act of war...

...say people who think everyone else is being far too sensitive about race and gender and language.
They’re not mad about using cultural pressure to use certain forms of expression.

it’s the whole way they operate.

They want to fly the confederate flag at state buildings

They want the Washington Redskins and the Cleveland Indians

they want to say there are only two genders
No, they’re not mad about using cultural pressure to use certain forms of expression.

They’re just mad they’re losing.
“The problem with this country is everyone is just too sensitive about identity,” says the guy who wants every single word spoken to cater to his specific identity.
If you want to see somebody obsessed with gender identity, go into an Evangelical church and casually refer to God as “she.”

They’ll never asked themselves, if calling God she is political correctness out of control...

How was calling God “he” for centuries somehow neutral?
Don’t insist that they referred to God as she.

Draw Jesus with an Afro.

Put pronouns in your twitter bio.

You’ll see how politically correct they become.
What are you doing to them?

Nothing.

You’re just changing your default settings.

Not theirs. Yours.

Watch how politically correct they become.
I have never seen anybody shoot a gun over being told merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays.

So when did everyone else become the sensitive ones?
What if we did this:

Start calling it politically considerate.

“Sure, I try to be PC when I can. I like to learn, and it doesn’t have to be all about me.”
Better still "Personally Considerate."

Ask them: What about my pronouns in my twitter bio is being done TO you?
There are people whose preferred gender designation is not immediately apparent.

Mostly people want to call people what they want to be called.

Pronouns help that.

So I add my pronouns.

What exactly is that doing TO you?
I'll tell you what I think it's doing.

It's activating the conscience of those who would rather be inconsiderate, and they don't even realize it.

Maybe they're actively bigoted. Maybe they're reflexively defensive. Maybe they're simply lazy.

But they'd rather be inconsiderate.
Nothing makes an inconsiderate person more uncomfortable than someone else being considerate.

Often as a defense they'll make a value of their desired inconsiderate behavior.

"I'm not exactly a PC person."

"I tell it like it is."

"I'm brutally honest."
Call it Personally Considerate.

And next time someone gets angry at you for using language that includes rather than excludes, expands rather than contracts, commiserate:

"I know. My conscience bothered me about this at first, too."

See how politically correct they get.
Isn't it interesting how quickly somebody frames this thread as 'bullying'?

Isn't it interesting how quickly it turns to violence?

These are not the statements of a peaceful conscience.
Isn't it interesting how quickly this goes to 'both sides' when only one side is taking up arms?

How interesting, to see this thread gets characterized as "painting everyone as a raging lunatic"?

I think this is the sign of an unquiet conscience.
I’ve only heard people telling others it HAS to be “merry christmas,” is the thing.

“Happy holidays” isn’t something people insist on. It’s what people say to be generally inclusive when a shared experience isn’t assumed.

Merry Christmas = politically correct

Happy Holidays = personally considerate
“Go Redskins!”
“That slur was used in the ongoing genocide of my people.”
“YOU ARE PUTTING A GUN TO MY HEAD”
Lots of people who insist that overly-sensitive PC culture is preventing them from saying anything sure have re-discovered sensitivity about swear words and sure have opinions on Muslim congresswomen and what they should or should not say.

It's all a hustle.
