Mike Pence on Fox News in January of 2017 was asked, “Was there any contact in any way between Trump or his associates and the Kremlin or cutouts they had?”
Pence replied, “Of course not. Why would there be any contacts between the campaign?"

Since that obvious lie, at least 94 contacts between members of the Trump campaign and transition and Russian-linked operatives have surfaced, according to a study done by the Moscow Project. 13 members of the Trump team had contact with Russians during the campaign.
I think it's important to go back and look at some of the Trump team statements from late 2016/early 2017 downplaying Russian contacts to get the full picture of how far the goal posts have moved.
