I saw a funny and extremely revealing phrase on reddit in a discussion about CRMs (customer relationship management system – basically a dashboard/interface for businesses to keep track of customers) – "the info is so bad, most of it is just content marketing" 😂💀 
my sense is – lots of companies have been throwing $ at making thinly veiled low-quality ads written by underpaid freelancers — who don't have the time, energy, interest or incentive to write things that are Actually Useful to people. traffic is what you can measure, so...
for example, someone was paid to write this – relatively bland business babble that's technically intelligible but hardly of any interest to anybody in the trenches trying to grow their business. You can tell the writer was trying to meet their word count, get paid and go home
It makes me think that even in 2019, there's a huge gap in practically every market for anybody who sits you down, values your time and articulates clearly to you what they think is truly important
