sometimes I lack the strength to be appropriately snide and dismissive and make the smart-girl joke about shit like this. sometimes it just feels like yeah guess that's the world, that's what society told me, that's probably what they all think, that's probably what they all feel
The internalized self-hatred I grew up with, the feeling that women stop mattering once there are no more men who want to fuck them, is tough to shake, though I've worked hard to rid myself of it, though I'm a million times better, stronger than I used to be.
I'm sharing only because I'm a smart, strong person. I'm someone who should (who can) dismiss that sort of bullshit. But I am fighting an entire culture, and it's ok to admit sometimes that that can be hard, that it can take a toll. Even on smart, strong women.
Also, I hope they do a live-action version of Ratatouille so that this man won't have to waste his one talent, having the actual face of a weird-looking rat
