Since @THR was nice enough to mention our wedding in their last issue, I figured I’d share a few more pictures from THE GEEKIEST WEDDING OF ALL TIME.

So buckle up for a photo thread about the time @MelissaRussells and I got married on the steps of the Hill Valley Courthouse!

BACK TO THE FUTURE is Melissa’s all-time favorite movie, so we always knew it was our density to have the ceremony at Courthouse Square on the Universal Backlot. Their events department was incredible and helped make it all happen! /2

And yeah, OF COURSE we rented a DeLorean Time Machine.

Hoverboard and Mr. Fusion were most definitely included. /3

Another bonus: getting to wander around the Backlot, taking our wedding pictures in some of the most famous spots in film history. /4

And we invited all the hottest people we know. Luckily, they also happened to be our best friends.

I mean, just look at those dreamboats. Goddam.

Then it was time for the ceremony! Our entire wedding party danced down the aisle to “I Want It That Way” by the @backstreetboys, and yes, it was just as glorious and ridiculous as it sounds. /6

…Especially when Steve, Spina and Simpson broke out the Donkey Roll!

Disaster nearly struck when I forgot the rings halfway through the ceremony. Luckily, I had a conch shell on hand to summon… /8

After the ceremony, we rented a tram and took all our guests on the Universal Backlot Tour. (Because, hey, we had to get JAWS in there somewhere!) While we were gone, they converted Courthouse Square into the reception area for dinner and dancing. /11

But the surprises weren’t over! Not only did my agents get us a personal message from Michael J. Fox, but Mayor Goldie Wilson himself (@MayorGoldieBTTF) gave the first toast from the steps of the courthouse! How insane is that??? /12

Almost forgot the decorations! Melissa single-handedly designed and created nearly every decoration for the ceremony. Here are a couple of my favorites… /13

First, Melissa managed to figure out every guest’s favorite movie. Next we tracked down VHS tapes of those films from pawn shops all over the city, which she then painted and individualized to create place-setting souvenirs! /14

Each table had its own theme, centered around our favorite movies and shows, and Melissa customized props and replicas for each one. So for example, the JAWS table had tiny barrels, golden sharks, and crushable beer cans, etc.! /15

Okay, that seems like enough for now. Thanks for everyone who helped make this the best night of our lives.

If you ever get the chance to marry your best friend in Courthouse Square, surrounded by DeLoreans and dinosaurs and Style Boyz and tram tours and so much more... I HIGHLY suggest you take it.
