I appreciate the intention of this message to curtail abuse and any suggestions I’m acting from ulterior motives - in itself, often a form of antisemitism - but what I appreciate most, is an opportunity to show first hand, the type of abuse being hurled in Labour’s name.

As I type, your message has had almost 1000 replies. Many “disputing some of my assertions” (non-specifically), w claims I’m “smearing” innocent people & “weaponising antisemitism”.

I don’t hold you personally accountable for what individuals type, nor to police the internet, but reading slurs, lies and conspiracy theories about myself, and the so many others echoing my opinions, I get “upset”.

And yet when I’m upset, I stand up, speak out and fight harder

I’ve been tweeting about this for months now, and yet only with press coverage, has any top level Labour official contacted me.

Meanwhile I’ve met @JohnMannMP @IanAustinMP @RuthSmeeth @lucianaberger who have all offered their support, condemnation & a commitment to tackle this.

This is why a cottage industry of volunteer campaigners has grown, to expose incidences of antisemitism in the Labour Party, as seemingly only through the spotlight of public & media pressure does anything get said or done.
@LabourAgainstAS @GnasherJew @mishtal are fighting hard.

As I’m reminded every day in misogynistic msgs, I’m just a TV presenter.

I shouldn’t have to risk my career & safety to fight a problem that’s grown in your party but not dealt with.

The MPs I’ve mentioned, as well as @margarethodge understand these issues. Listen to THEM.

I stand by those selected to speak for the large majority of the Jewish community, repeating their requests from March 2018 to be taken seriously, and at this late stage, again I call for ACTION rather than words.
