aaaaah i hate my winter body
anyone: hey how's it hanging
me: <labored breathing for no reason at 100% oxygen saturation> my chest feels like it's 15% too small for my heart
everything is difficult. going up stairs leaves me heaving. picking up objects makes my heart skip a beat. i just become frail for a month or two.
the last couple nights i've been doing pretty alright all things considered, moving forward on projects and playing games and stuff, but tonight my chest pain *and* abdominal pain are acting up and that just paralyzes me

a thing that plagues me whenever i try to 'gram is that i struggle with extremely simple math, and i mean like, extremely simple
like i'll need to answer the question "how far is this number from this other number" and i end up in notepad for 30 minutes to an hour shuffling numbers around and trying to figure out what terms go where
and it ends up culminating in something like

if abs(room_x_offset) > 2:
...
if abs(room_x_offset) > 4:
...
if abs(room_x_target - room_x_offset) < 2:
...

i decided to play with pygame a little. i created a sprite subclass, instantiated it and put it in a sprite list, and when i kill() it it never gets garbage collected so the program is instantly uselessly memory-leaky
this is 100% of my experiences trying to do anything interesting with code. i immediately hit a brick wall like this and i have no idea where to begin figuring it out, or if the helper library is fundamentally broken
i swear to god the only time in my life i ever got a *single inch* into this is when the only library i was using was SDL. if i use anything fucking else, i just spend endless hours trying to figure out the bizarre mentality of someone elses library instead of doing actual work

My birthday is Feb 21.

I can't afford my #healthcare after Feb. 28 because my monthly premium leapt to $1,978.10 in January.

I'm re-applying for #Medicaid and #SSDI, but no one should have to do this in America.

I am just one of millions.
I'm angry.
I've been angry since Nov. 9, 2016.
I'm not by nature an angry person.
But when you're fighting for your literal life, you're in constant pain & you have to fight a system dedicated to crushing sick/#disabled people, it's enraging.
All over America people are crowdfunding

*healthcare
*prescriptions
*#oxygen
*dental care
*medical tests
*surgeries

Not artistic works or small films or books but
THINGS THAT WILL KEEP US FROM DYING.

Take that in, America.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but..

You know what I hate? When people put games like "Tetris" and "Space Invaders" on their "Greatest Games of all time" list. It's like putting a crayon drawing up next to a Picasso.
I mean hell, I'm reading your list and you put Tetris above Mass Effect 2? Really? What is wrong with you?

Video games can be magnificent works of art. They can also be.. just games. If you're making a list of the best you should pick the former.
"Wow, these blocks falling with this catchy music is sure comparable to a massive storyline that encompasses character development, narrative, and flawless gameplay"

You are old and you should stop playing video games.
