To think that before today, it had never occurred to me that there might be a frog for me
A *dart* frog no less, which strongly implies the existence of other sub-categories of frogs for me
I highly recommend getting a lizard if for no other reason than the emails and banner ads

59% say they support raising the top tax marginal rate to 70 percent, which is weird because centrist pundits have spent the last two weeks saying that would be political suicide.
And props to the pollsters for nailing the wording on this one.
A 70% tax rate on income above $10 million is more popular (59% support) than:
Obamacare: 51%
Estate tax elimination: 48%
Trump's wall: 42%
Trump: 41%
Brett Kavanaugh: 41%
Trump tax cuts: 40%
Nancy Pelosi: 38%
Congress: 18%

Point that somehow always gets lost in American taxation debates: higher taxes can result in more money in your pocket if they pay for services you'd otherwise pay for out of pocket.
For the big stuff -- like health care and child care -- it's *really* hard to make this work without raising taxes on *everyone.* But "raising taxes on the middle class" is the true third rail of American politics.
Like how much in extra taxes would you, personally, pay in order to not have to worry about medical costs or fighting with insurance companies over billing codes or in-network vs out-of-network costs?

Before everyone jumps one me - yes, culture isn’t DNA.

But to be Puerto Rican is to be the descendant of:
African Moors + slaves,
Taino Indians,
Spanish colonizers,
Jewish refugees,
and likely others.

We are all of these things and something else all at once - we are Boricua.
Just because one concrete identity may not be how we think of ourselves today, nor how we were raised, it doesn’t mean we cannot or should not honor the ancestors + stories that got us here.

I was raised Catholic, & that identity is an amalgam too - especially in Latin America.
If anything, the stories of our ancestry give us windows of opportunity to lean into others, to seek them out, and see ourselves, our histories, and our futures, tightly knit with other communities in a way we perhaps never before thought possible.

Bien. Déjà, on va commencer par la base : quel est l'avantage de Twitter par rapport à Facebook, c'est simple : tout. Chronologie, algorithme beaucoup moins invasif, 100% de vos followers voient vos posts : Facebook c'est complètement mort, et pour de bonnes raisons.
Ensuite, pourquoi Twitter ? Sur Twitter, l'interaction est plus simple : tout a la même forme, tweets, réponses, citations... Interpeller quelqu'un et interagir avec lui est beaucoup plus simple sur Twitter. Ca vaut pour tous les domaines, et le droit n'y fait pas exception.

I grew up in Germany, so I’m an immigrant to this country. I had my first English lesson in a public high school at the age of 10. By the age of 15, I spoke English about as well as an American high schooler who has taken a few language classes might speak French: barely.

For the last two years of high school, I was lucky enough to attend the European School in Karlsruhe. About half my lessons were in English.

I struggled. After my first few weeks at the school, I asked my mom whether she would be mad at me if I got held back by a year.

#Today's story to #EndFamilySeparation Four months ago, Dad and 4-month-old entered at the Texas/Mexico border and requested #asylum. Dad and child were immediately separated and the baby put in ORR custody. #FamiliesBelongTogether
Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
The Mom and Dad now have once weekly Skype calls with their 8-month-old baby. That's right, folks. They Skype with an infant. #EndFamilySeparation #FamiliesBelongTogether
