I'm not buying an 11 yo can't sleep.
Parents, keep the stress of life to yourself and let kids be kids.

I’ve been broke and I mean BROKE and my kids slept like babies.
I remember being in kindergarten and my dad lost his job. The only reason I remember this is because he borrowed 2 dollars to send me on a school trip. The only time he ever did that. I don’t know how they kept food and lights because they didn’t burden us kids with the worry.

True, this always works. Believe it not we once had alcohol in this country before it became illegal.
I personally know people in need of the benefits of marijuana yet in my state just having a small amount can lead to jail time.

It’s because of people like this that we can’t move beyond this stigma.
I watched as my father died knowing medical marijuana could have eased his pain.

If you don’t like the fact I’m completely for medical marijuana, get bent. I’m sick of it!

No wonder older millennials relate to him so hard. A generation of very smart kids who tried so hard and got our asses kicked by life and are just so so tired.
I keep thinking about that 5 second montage of him getting injured over and over again AFTER his divorce and like, you know he probably doesn't have insurance or a very good plan and even spider powers don't perfectly heal everything and SO RELATABLE.

My date followed up by asking, “If your boyfriend asked you to cook for him, would you?” I grinned, as I realised my date was sadly playing from a script. I replied, “I don’t have a guy I like who’s asking me to cook, so I can’t say.”
I think my date thought I was being coy. But, I wasn’t. I was just being honest. A while ago, I decided to deal in reality and not hypotheticals. I have tried and failed to control life. All my effort got me was an anxiety problem and therapy.

Being an impostor is hard work. You have to emulate someone else, always chasing their look, their style, their experiences and you have to work tirelessly to fool others that you are someone you are not. This leads to resentment and eventually hatred of the original.

That feeling of being uncomfortable and transgressive is the internal warning sign that you are doing something wrong. That you are hurting yourself and others. Perhaps it's not the clothes you like to wear, but fooling yourself that you should be someone else that's the problem.
Identifying with someone who isn't you is empathy. Identifying as someone who isn't you is identity theft. You must maintain the mask at all times, even a tiny slip is perceived as a huge inconsistency. This is hugely time consuming and it leads to self-obsession.

Went to Azraq Refugee Camp in Jordan today. Official population at 53,967, according to @UNHCR as of February 2018. All Syrian #refugees.

In many ways it was not what I expected.
First thing you notice is how remote the location is — some 100 kms east of Amman; 20 kms from Azraq town; 75 kms to Saudi Arabia; 255 kms to Iraq; and 90 kms to the Syrian border — from which its inhabitants fled.
At the same time, the harshness of the setting — a hardscrabble, sprawling 15 square km patch, scratched, etched and stretched out of endless rolling desert.

The perimeter was equally formidable, with security fencing, official patrols, check points and razor wire.
