1. Couple of years ago I tried tweeting on Sanskrit under the title Sanskrit ramblings which was done irregularly and stopped after a dozen or so ramblings. Let me try one more time!
2. Why is it so important to learn Sanskrit and also, learn it in the right way? Because, every syllable has it's own place. A small mispronunciation could take the meaning to an altogether different place! We will see examples of such instances as we go along.
3. The word Samskritam itself means sound. Sounds are various and each variation makes a different meaning. This alone makes sense to communicate. This variation in sound is organized and in the case of Samskritam it pretty much perfectly organized.

I recently learned that the prevailing narrative in my family is that I'm only against Trump because I'm gay, and that this is ridiculous because Trump isn't anti-gay.

I have so many problems with this idea that I had to write a thread. Here goes:
To be more specific, my family believes that, because I'm gay and married to a man, I'm irrationally scared that Trump will take away my marriage license, even though, according to them, Trump supports LGBTQ. This is the story they tell themselves.
First off, I'll admit I don't think Trump gives two shits about whether someone is gay. He's no sexual puritan. But he is surrounded by and very loyally supported by people who are anxious to overturn Obergefell once they're done with Roe, and his VP supports conversion therapy.

A story is only as good as its sources.

I can think of at least two occasions off the top of my head where I had to turn down very "juicy" stories because of the sources not feeling comfortable with having that revealed to the public.
One of them was a two hour interview. A really fucking good one too. It's never ever coming out though.
"I sanded it for days, until it was smooth as glass. Then I rubbed all the wood with tung oil so it was rich and dark. It even smelled good. You know, you put nose in it and breathed in, it was... it was perfect."

The worst 45 seconds of my life are the time that passes between plugging the digital voice recorder into my computer, and opening the files in iTunes to confirm the interview was recorded. It feels longer than high school.
In those 45 seconds, I'm able to fully imagine the horror of calling the publicist and my editor to explain what happened. Or didn't happen.
Did this just now with a two-hour interview from last week. I thought I was creating separate chapters during the interview, which makes transcribing easier, but apparently I wasn't, because it's one continuous file--not even mad, because at least it's not silence.

AU wherein, despite the prejudice people have against hybrids, Jeongguk’s managed to work his way up the ranks and establish a name for himself.
Taehyung, a hybrid w/ a difficult temperament, somehow falls under his care.
The only problem? Jeongguk wants nothing to do with him.
Little context:
More often than not, hybrids are sold as ‘pets’. The handful that do make smth out of themselves still fall victim to some sort of discrimination. Jeongguk’s gone through a lot & is disgusted by it all, so when Taehyung’s given to him, he hates the entire ordeal.
Notes
• Jeongguk has been aged up, so he’s four years older than Taehyung purely to allot for time wherein he becomes successful.
• This may border on nsfw.
• Taehyung will not act as a ‘pet’ or anything similar. He is a person.
