1. How News Is Spun!

Over the past year, The Boston Globe tracked down 93 of the 113 valedictorians who appeared in the paper’s "Faces of Excellence" features from 2005 to 2007.
2. The findings were sad and scary (keep this phrase in mind "sad and scary'):

"1 in 4 failed to get a bachelor's degree within six years."
"40% make less than $50,000."
"Nearly a quarter aspired to be doctors ... but none has earned a medical degree."
3. Four have experienced homelessness.
"One became homeless not long after she graduated from Dartmouth College, done in by a combination of a new baby, lack of a job, and an extended family unable to provide a temporary bed."
4. This represents a stunning "epidemic of untapped potential."
"Many saw their opportunities begin to diminish soon after high school, perpetuating an epidemic of thwarted potential among young Bostonians."
5. Are you sufficiently outraged? Who is responsible for all this? Someone must be. Cue up some politicians to change all this. What needs changing or how? Don't ask! Just vote!

Well, can we at least talk to these sad, sad, unfortunate people, suffering in such an unjust system?
6. There, you blew it! Why in hell did you go talking to these people, bro? After all MSM did to cue you up for election!
"Despite the many obstacles to success they encountered, Boston valedictorians themselves generally did not complain about their disadvantages."
7. Bring out the smelling salts for SJWs.
"The overwhelming majority said they were better off than their parents and nearly 9 out of 10 felt they had a 'fair shot.'"

Clearly, a story can be spun in many ways. You may ask: Exactly who is this 'sad and scary' for?
