I was interviewed for this and it turned out okay. I have things I would have said differently but overall I can live with the results here. But as I expected there are already so many harmful responses rolling in.

People have RT'ed the article and said they would kill themselves if they had to live that way.

It's not okay to say that living a certain way is worse than death when people *do* live that way, every day. And enjoy our lives, thanks.

I know that my experiences and those of most people with corn allergy go counter to the typical wisdom about food allergies. That's why I wrote this post:

But it's just really disheartening to have people question whether a sensitivity that affects every aspect of your life is literally even possible. Like, I'm right here. And when I don't avoid these things I have anaphylaxis. But thanks for doubting my existence.
