Family relations have an interesting effect upon human beings
It brings the minds of humans too close together
This unnatural proximity creates changes within the human mind
Than he will to his family
He will listen to a stranger
More than he will listen to his family
He will value a stranger
More than he will value his family
He will prioritize loose relationships
More than close bonds
This is what forces humans to go astray
For society attempts to enforce its rules of logic
Upon a mind that does not subscribe to them
Society attempts to plant palm trees
In the tundra of the Arctic
And it is not wise to force oneself to imbibe it.
For if one does this
It will stick in the throat
And choke the life out of him.
He creates resentment
If one is overly compassionate
He creates disrespect
If one is overly critical
He creates hatred
If one is overly helpful
He creates ungratefulness
But the mind is not a logical machine.
It is wise to preserve a sense of "stranger-ness"
So that "ownership" is avoided
A human returns to the place from where he once came
He returns to the dust as a nameless creature
Who played the game of being more than he was
And one day this game comes to an end.
There is respect
Where there is no hope
There is Truth
Where there is no attachment
There is love
Namaste.
