I'm sick of THAT bullshit, "oh well those kids shouldn't have been there anyway". No, they as young adults had every right to be there, same as the BHI scum, same as the Indigenous Peoples' March.

This isn't racial. This is a devaluation of the right for someone to have a belief other than your own. And in this case, that devaluation is threatening to destroy 50-odd kids' lives over LIES, SLANDER, and FALSEHOODS.

I'd say the same of an all-black school. Or a bunch of white kids with pink p***y hats. Go ahead and HMU me when something like this happens.

So I guess what this boils down to is: More than anything, it's the notion that these kids have something to apologize for. Maybe their Pro-Life stance? Maybe their MAGA hats?

They have nothing to apologize for. They can believe whatever they want to. That's what I enlisted for.

And conservatism, whether it be economic or social, is not a crime, although I know you all wish in your bones you could make it so, because how DARE someone feel some way other than you?

You know why cons mock libs? Because you hold your opinions and we don't care.

That's your choice.

But on the other hand, DARING to be conservative, whatever that should mean, however you choose to define it at that moment is a death penalty offense.

YOU are what's wrong with the country. Not Trump. Not neonazis. Not alt-right. YOU.

And I don't say that regarding your POLICIES. I say that to you all as individual human beings. Because you are NOTHING without your political ideologies. They define you. They warp you and shape you. Without them, you're left rudderless, without guidance. And it terrifies you.

But you translate that terror, not into introspection on how you can shift your political ideology to reflect the new reality, but into an animalistic rage at anything that doesn't match your standards.

THAT'S what I think is wrong.

TL;DR

Classical liberalism did nothing wrong. Progressive liberalism killed your dog. And the latter is the only kind of liberalism left in the US these days.
