Let us also remember, the govt was found liable in his death. To continue pushing the narrative that King volunteered as tribute is inaccurate, violent, insulting...it proves just how far this country is willing to go to erase its sins instead of confronting them. #MLK90 
In playing this erasure game, it reveals the insidious nature of this country. It is not the goal to acknowledge and rectify to make sure this doesn’t happen again. It’s practice to make sure that when it does, we can give a whitewashed account with a smile on our face. #mlkday
