There's a clearer picture now of ex-FBI counsel James Baker's interactions with Michael Sussmann of Perkins Coie (the firm that hired Fusion GPS). Sussmann gave Baker info server activity between Alfa Bank and Trump businesses. dailycaller.com/2019/01/22/jam… @dailycaller
Sussmann was also in contact with NYT and Slate, which published an article laying out the allegations of a secret back channel, which have been refuted by computer experts.
It shows that the Fusion-Steele-Perkins Coie entity tried to push Trump-Russia dirt through a bunch of different channels -- media, FBI, DOJ's Bruce Ohr, State Dept.
Baker told Congress last year that he took Sussmann's intel seriously because he was DNC lawyer and because they worked together at DOJ
