Volatility became a market problem again in 2007 after Chris Cox revoked the old “uptick rule”put in place by FDR asJoeKennedySr said to prevent stock market from collapsing as in ‘29. Ask @jimcramer abt that story.
There are mathematical reasons to need a braking mechanism. Without it, acceleration in a downward direction can cause a stock price to collapse. I agree with Cooperman’s view. The uptick rule prevented stock market crashes for 70+ years. The individual “circuit breakers” don’t.

So the "muh we are all doomed" crowd are preaching doom and gloom if the Dems win the House. Sure it would be bad but let's take a look at how bad it would be in reality.

1. Fed gov would basically be in gridlock for next 2 years. Most likely no laws will be passed think CR.
2. The Congress will not have veto proof majority so Trump can stop any thing he wants

3. The same doj/FBI that refuse to turn over docs to a gop congress will refuse to turn over doc to a Dem congress.sorry dems investigations will go nowhere.
4. The house can impeach but it takes the Senate to remove. So look for a totally senseless political Kabuki theater that goes nowhere until 2020

5. Trump may decide to do a Clinton and move to the left to get things done but the hate is so high from the left this is doubtful

I have been wondering if @realDonaldTrump was so terrible and incompetent, why don’t the RINOS and Dems just let him fail. They wouldn’t even have to get their hands dirty. Seems like he would dig his own grave. Logic tells me they’re afraid of something.
They’re obviously afraid of him succeeding. They’re afraid of being exposed for corruption. They’re afraid of their owners and the favors promised not getting kept. They’re afraid of us finding out they’re all the same. They’re afraid we finally pay attention.
They’re afraid of us looking into their lives for a change. I have come out of my bubble. I have thought my whole life that our country was pure and held the people in office to a high standard. I believed in them. I believed they had our best interests in their hearts.

1: Once upon a time in the late 90s, there were common websites, basic cable and magazines that put out various hotlines you could call in a crisis. If not, there were search engines where you could find the numbers to places like BoysTown and the Suicide Prevention Hotline etc.
2: My parents were SUPER controlling. So much so, that we felt the control in every little way, and suspected other means of control that we did not verify until we had all moved out.

Lp(a) blood level show a dose-response relationship to cardiovascular disease risk in multiple studies, and Lp(a) is now widely considered a reliable marker for CVD risk.

Here is a graph showing ~4-fold increased risk at >95th-percentile Lp(a) level.
