As currently constructed, I cannot support the House-passed resolution calling for the release of the Mueller report.
However, I would agree to the resolution with a simple change –
-- it be amended to call for the appointment of a Special Counsel to:

* Investigate alleged misconduct around the handling of the Clinton email investigation.

* Investigate the abuse of the FISA warrant process against Mr. Carter Page.

I appreciate the effort by President @realDonaldTrump to reach a peaceful conclusion to the North Korean nuclear threat.

It’s better to walk away than sign a bad deal.
@realDonaldTrump There is only one good deal: the complete denuclearization of North Korea in return for security guarantees and economic assistance.
@realDonaldTrump I am encouraged that there are plans to continue talking.

We must not go back to the status quo.

If negotiations fail, it would be time to end the nuclear threat from North Korea – one way or the other.

We had a great presentation from @VP Pence and his team regarding the emergency declaration and the need for additional spending to protect our southern border at today's Senate Republican lunch.

@VP In 2014, President Obama declared a humanitarian crisis at our southern border because 120,000 unaccompanied minors were apprehended.

As of today, we have already apprehended 120,000 in Fiscal Year 2019.

The problems of 2014 are only getting worse.
@VP For years I have worked across the aisle and with any willing participant to reform immigration.

During this time, I never heard any Democrat – in either the Senate or House of Representatives – say there was NOT a crisis at our southern border.

I woke up this morning, in part, thinking about this clapping thing (mainly that so many people seemed to react so intensely) & obviously it seems like my argument was unclear so let's break it down:

at its heart, it's not really about clapping. 1/13
it's about shaming & classical music's continued persistent desire to ignore the presence of bodies.

people have mentioned clapping conventions & insider knowledge & yes other musics have clapping conventions too but the difference is, they're not *restrictive.* 2/13
if anything they encourage & reinforce the effect performers have on audiences & vice versa. we "teach" that you clap after a solo in a jazz combo (good! let's show that performer love!) but no one says "if you hear something amazing, don't acknowledge it." 3/13

At a rate of about 90-95% when I talk to my fellow African American friends they agree with me on policy.

If I put Trumps name before the policy they will not agree.

If I mention his name after they will back off of their position....
2. ....or they will claim that he is only doing it because he is racist.

Kanye gave people like that an option in my opinion top express how they feel without persecution, to a certain degree.
3. Kanye has sacrificed himself in my opinion to calm down the powder keg that is the left.

They are ready to explode. And so are some on the right.
