This is the Marshall line. They are out in front of the #InvasionDay marsh, working with cops. The lead marshal, through the megaphone, issues a warning: there are fascists up ahead. We will protect the protest, protect Indigenous mob.

He says that anyone who is not comfortable with being a marshal given the possibility of confrontation is invited to swap out now. No one does.

I have covered the #InvasionDay rally in Melbourne since 2015. There have been a few dickheads in capes along the way, but this is the first time I have heard such a stark warning from organisers of a rival fascist profile.
