Because we were actively competing with everyone who just got laid off or otherwise lost their jobs in the recession, a recession which the job market didn't recover from for 8 FUCKING YEARS.

We didn't want high paying jobs NOW. All we wanted was a fair shot at working our way up to them. We were denied that, and every time some dumbfuck comes along and says 'oh, well, the millennials are spoiled and wanted too much', it makes me ask...
